Having dental implants with bone loss does not change the lifespan of All-on-4 system. These implants stabilise the prosthesis even with reduced bone volume. The factors affecting the lifespan of the implants are well known. If these are taken into consideration, All-on-4 implant treatment can be used safely for many years. These factors are: teeth grinding (bruxism), smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, and poor oral hygiene. Paying attention to these factors and prioritising oral care in all dental treatments extends the lifespan of the implants.
